Red Bucket Films Are Rollin`

At Red Bucket Films, we are dedicated to producing unconventional and unique ground-breaking content for film, television and new media platforms. Our mission is to create original ideas with an authentic voice. We encourage organic collaboration on original ideas and have the technical infrastructure and the partners to develop and produce projects across a wide range of genres. As a growing company Red Bucket Films recognise the creative need that is driving the shift away from large studios to produce relevant film. As an independent production company Red Bucket Films is well placed to fill the content gap.

The first movie from Red Bucket Films

The first film from the Safdie brothers was called The Golden Rose. The story is about an unnamed Irish guitarist/singer/songwriter who is living in South London. He makes a living by fixing bicycles in his landlord’s bike repair shop by day, and singing and playing for money on the London streets by night. An unnamed Hungarian girl is also living in London with her family and loves to play the piano when she gets a chance, but is caught up with the care of her mother. The man meets the woman when she takes in a bicycle for repair. They realise they have a musical connection and arrange to meet again. They get to know each other and the woman helps the man put together a demo disc that he can use in the hope of landing a music contract. Over several days, the couple work through their past loves and reveal their budding love for one another, through their songs. The song that wins the man his contract is one they wrote in collaboration: The Golden Rose.
